Kelly, who is from an accountancy background, started her career working on the client side of the housing sector, spending time as property services finance manager for Origin Housing prior to joining echelon. It was during this period that she started to develop her procurement skills and gain experience in reporting in the areas of finance and performance management.

Since joining Echelon in 2013 she has worked on the procurement of multiple, wide-ranging contracts plus both pre- and post-procurement activity to assess commercial performance, viability and success.

Role within the business

Kelly manages Echelon’s in-house commercial team, co-ordinating activity across the group’s commercial functions. She has an active role in delivering projects, working closely with clients to analyse existing contract commerciality, scope out client requirements and developing commercial models that will deliver for all parties. Kelly evaluates commercial tender returns and helps implement the pricing models on new contracts.

She also handles annual and contract performance reviews to facilitate efficient commercial management of ongoing contracts and conducts commercial analysis including benchmarking of repairs and maintenance data.

Kelly is the Echelon Group’s company secretary and works as part of the board to provide strategic leadership and direction to the wider business.

Financially astute and with a keen analytical mind, Kelly is adept at analysing huge quantities of complex data and breaking it down to identify key themes and patterns. She is able to translate complex information into clear summaries and explanations for clients and team members alike.

Kelly plays a strategic role in the group, identifying and implementing new areas for business and performance improvement.

Out of work

Kelly is a dog lover and enjoys taking her German shepherds out for long walks, often involving a pub stop on the way!
