Our in-house commercial team is responsible for developing the pricing models for all projects and implementing those for new contracts or internal service delivery arrangements. This includes echelon’s Price Per Property (PPP) and 4* gas models but the team has extensive experience of a wide range of other standard and bespoke commercial models. A key part of the work this team undertakes is to ensure cost transparency and it also carries out the commercial evaluation of Tender returns.
The commercial team undertakes detailed cost analysis as part of each options appraisal we undertake, to assess the genuine cost of delivering services including clients’ internal resourcing and overheads. The data captured is also benchmarked against our extensive data set, to consider the cost performance of the service against comparable clients and models. The team can also assist clients to extract cost data from their systems.
Echelon undertakes annual open book reviews and other commercial reviews for clients, to assess the performance of contracts against Tendered rates and wider market conditions, identifying anomalies and producing detailed reports highlighting areas for improvement.
Our commercial team includes a qualified Quantity Surveyor and we also have close working links with specialist practices for this purpose.
