VFM Reviews
The ability to demonstrate Value for Money is a key driver for all Organisations. echelon have developed a hands on approach for service reviews to ensure not only that Organisations can demonstrate Value for Money but to ensure that the opportunity is taken to engage stakeholders in the process.
The first stage in the review is to ensure that the project is delivering what it “says on the tin”. This involves a check list that captures not only the details within the Clients specification, but also captures the “promises” made by the Contractor during the selection process in their offer document.
The process also includes high levels of stakeholder engagement which can include the following:-
- Stakeholder Review Workshop – a workshop with the internal stakeholders responsible for delivering the service.
- Customer Workshops – workshops with customers that can be service specific or across the whole service.
- Stakeholder 1:1’s – invididual review meetings to capture detailed feedback.
- Customer Feedback – direct feedback from customers on how well the service is being delivered.
Once we have captured the outputs from the stakeholder reviews and scoping exercise, we will capture detailed performance management information on the Key Performance Indicators being used for the service(s) being reviewed. We will also capture detailed financial information on both the cost of the service from the Contractors perspective and the holistic cost to the Client.
All these outcomes will be captured in a detailed report that will also provide detailed benchmarking data drawing on the data from our AMIP benchmarking club. The report will also include detailed recommendations highlighting any service improvements identified during the review.
