An amazingly successful year for the team which included arguably the best race of the season with Gary securing the win he needed to become the 2008 Champion while Vince Williams secured 5th place.
echelon Bikes – New Era Final – October 2008
The weekend of 18th/19th October 2008 saw the final round of the New Era Championship with echelon’s rider going into the weekend with a 19 point lead.
The first three races of the weekend saw Gary’s closest competitor John Simpson overtake this margin meaning that Gary had to win the final race to secure the Championship.
Arguably, the best race of the season saw Gary secure the win he needed to become the 2008 Champion at the same time clocking the fastest lap of the weekend. This caps an amazingly successful year for the team which included Vince Williams securing 5th place.
