Fixit® simulations

Research in association with Lancaster University suggests that the most effective way of learning is by doing. Our fixit® simulations recreate the conditions for experiential learning in the classroom, giving participants at every level a real–life, familiar, yet safe environment in which to practice and apply their process improvement skills.

Developed in partnership with Warwick Business School, fixit® simulations are now used across the world’s leading business schools and service organisations. With each simulation based on a real–life process, fixit® exhibits all the issues, both procedural and behavioural, associated with implementing change in a service environment.

Starting with an inefficient process, participants experience the effects of poor process performance first–hand before applying the operational excellence approach. In doing so they learn to reduce variation and improve service performance for the benefit of the organisation and its customers.

As participants develop their skills and confidence, increasingly complex issues are uncovered through the simulation enabling participants to apply the complete suite of improvement tools from basic through to advanced level.

With multiple levels of complexity fixit® provides a common theme throughout your entire training programme so that delegates can quickly pick–up from where they left off and experience the end–to–end improvement journey.

What others say about the fixit® simulation:

“The simulation was excellent and really brought out how to use the tools”

“fixit® allowed our mangers to cut through the jargon associated with process improvement”

“This is the best way to learn about process improvement, flow and design”
